Talking about Reservations and Bookings

When you book something in Urdu, there are a few very common words you will hear and use again and again.

Basic sentence patterns for booking

Very often you will combine "I want" or "I would like" with "to book" and an object like "a room" or "a ticket."

Common pattern:

I want to book X.

In Urdu:

میں X بُک کرنا چاہتا ہوں۔ (male speaker)
maiñ X book karna chahta hoon.

میں X بُک کرنا چاہتی ہوں۔ (female speaker)
maiñ X book karna chahti hoon.

Some useful examples:

میں ایک کمرہ بُک کرنا چاہتا ہوں۔
maiñ aik kamra book karna chahta hoon.

You can also say "I have a booking" or "I do not have a booking."

Asking About Availability

To check if something is available, you usually ask "Is there...?" or "Do you have...?" These are very common in booking situations.

Use the word "khaali" (empty, free, available).

کیا کوئی سیٹ خالی ہے؟

You can use mostly the same structures whether you book a train, bus, or flight. Only the noun changes.

Using the Present Tense for Schedules

In Urdu, just like in English, you can use the simple present tense to talk about fixed future schedules, such as timetables.

Even though it is about the future, the structure uses present tense.
