In this chapter you learn how to introduce yourself simply in Georgian. You will see short, realistic sentences that you can already use with basic grammar and verbs such as “to be” and “to have,” but the focus here is on typical self‑introduction phrases, not on full verb explanations.

We will build a small “introduction script” and then vary it with examples.

Saying “My Name Is …”

A very common and polite way to say your name is:

Saying Where You Are From

Saying Your Nationality

To complete a basic introduction you can say your nationality. Some very common nationalities:

• მე ფრანგი ვარ.

  “I am French.”

Note the word order can change:

All of them mean “I am Georgian.” As a beginner, it is easiest to say:

Sharing Your Age in Introductions
